Nice looking (10k mile) Chevette-powered BCW here on the bay. Claims to be a factory-built job delivered in 1984. Appears unmolested (except heater core is removed). Interesting thing to me: this one is serial number 197. Mine, delivered in pieces to the OO in June of 1980, was number 110. Would mean the BCW folks only finished 87 cars in four years. I believe that’s quite fewer than the number the owner told the press they had done, or expected to do.
The car is in NJ, according to the ad. Current bid is $4500.
That same car was listed on South Jersey Craig’s List a few months ago. Larry Murphy posted the link here. He was asking $5,500 firm and it said “shown by appointment only”.
It sure looks nice, but sometimes people use pictures that are years old. Got to be careful. He also says the Weber carb was added…NOT…that’s a standard Chevette Holley/Weber progressive 2 barrel. Love the battery hold down too.
