He called me back it does have a top and it runs,Said his dad drives it about once a month, has owned it for about 8 years, said the top needed a small repair..He’s asking $3000. I’m going to offer him $1400,all he can do is say NO.

Yeah, $1400 might be OK if it runs & you like a nice project. Hell, $3k is probably fine if you like a nice project.

Interior’s about $200-$300 in material. They’re fun to make.

Top’s a $300-$400 job for a top person. If you feel you must.

Brakes, new tires. New wheels (imho) and weld-in beam adjusters from cip1: $800-$900

What are we up to? $1500 or so? And in the end it’s worth $3k maybe, depending on how she shines up. Or you get her painted for another $1000.

That’s still way less than I have in mine.

Every now and then, your faithful admin has to make a suggestion.

    Here’s this week’s:

A subject line like “he called me back” really doesn’t help anyone. Subjects should be at least a little informative and obviously relate to the content of the thread. I always keep in mind that while we address immediate questions and situations, we are also building an historic record of useful info.

Off my soapbox now. Thanks for reading.

I fixed the links to the craigslist ad.

I cannot explain it…but sometimes just typing the url is enough for the forum software to recognize the text and make it a live link. Usually, you have to type it (or paste it in), then hi-lite the url and click the icon that looks like the earth with a chain link.
