Less then a hour from me – go by the all the time – wish it had been around when I purchased my TD – would have saved me a ton of work. 3000.00 seems a little high for a unfinished project car. I know he spent a lot more if he purchased new.

Decent runners are $3500 plus or minus. So that car is more like $2000, depending on the powertrain. Looks like he got the body on nice.

I just talked to the seller.  He is sending me more info on the car and I will post when he does.  The reason that the fenders look like Bill’s is the prior owner had sanded them down getting them ready to paint.  The story is that a fellow bought and was building it but had a heart attack and died.  Widow gave it to a school where it sat for 10+/- years.  The current owner’s son attending class saw it and so George bought it.  He is overwhelmed by the daunting electrical hookup and has lost interest.  Comes with top, seats, light tan interior.  No title.  Fiberfab.  Don’t know any more at this point.

I’m not interested but will post what I find out.

I just heard from the owner.  He sent me pictures so large (so many megapixels) that I don’t know what to do with them.  It is a Fiberfab.  Shipped to builder 1986.  The AB engine code (and the pics) indicate a DP 1600 1971-1973 engine.  Looks super clean.  Seller states that the engine was just rebuilt.  It looks it – not even any fingerprints on it.  Seller states that the car has “new” 1986 tires on it.  No miles.  I don’t know what the sellers bottom line is, but this kit looks to be all there with a lot of parts (esp interior) still in the original wrapper.  Could be a great, almost new, kit buy for someone who knows how to use a multimeter and wants to finish the interior and paint the fenders.  If I had the time, I would definitely inquire further.
