Hi All:
Well, my friend and neighbor in River Bend (Royal) has finally twisted my arm and I just purchased a TD in MA off of eBAY (eBAY # 281111255074).The auction ended with the bid never reaching the reserve price, so I emailed the owner and made an offer — he counter offered — and I accepted the counter offer. Now I just have to take the tow bar and my truck up to MA from NC and bring my new toy home — oh yea, and give him the $$ for the car. This will add one more grease-under-the-fingernail vehicle to go along with my 1959 Austin Healey Bug Eye Sprite.I did get to meet some of you folks at Carlisle this year. I had planned on taking my Bug Eye to Carlisle, but I had a timing chain malfunction, which downed the car awaiting parts. Instead, I drove my German Car (Audi S4 Convertible) to Carlisle and parked on the show field. But that German Car crowd was not very friendly, so I got to hang with the TD and Speedster crowd, as well as the Austin Healey Sprite crowd instead. And I got to watch Royal, BillNPARTS, EDSNOVA, and SCHU compete in the Autocross. I’m planning on Carlisle in 2014, with a TD this time…!!!I’m looking forward to all the fine advice and sage wisdom that I’m sure will be shared with me, the FiberFab 1952 TD “newbie”Thanks for all your recent advice on looking for a TD.Jack Breza (a.k.a HappyJack)May 29, 2013 at 6:02 pm #256111Jack congrats and welcome to this crazy ness

Jack has a really nice (almost perfect) driver Bugeye Sprite but was so impressed with the camaraderie of the TDr group at the Carlisle Kit Car Show, he had to get one.TDring: It’s contagious!Welcome aboard.May 29, 2013 at 9:32 pm #256115Super to hear it, Jack. Hope you have a safe ride from MA to NC. I used to drive FL to CT and back on the regular and would stop in NC overnight. Not towing a project car though (most times) and never flat-towing. Looks like Baltimore is right around your half way point. If you need a waypoint layover contact me.
