I’m in a pickle with car insurance.  I have the two MG Replicas that you might know about (Mr August in the 2012 calendar) and the London Roadster still in engine rebuild status).  Neither is drivable on public roads because neither is insured.  Both are in my driveway, covered with outdoor good quality car covers, not garaged.

But I have a question that I’m throwing out about my other two vehicles.  My main daily driver is a 2000 Honda Odyssey and my sports car is a 2001 Honda S2000.

I was getting a quote from Haggerty Insurance for insuring the S2000 as a classic.  However, when I read their fine print, my main car needs to be a model year 2008 or newer.  I’m running into my annual car insurance renewal this month.  I have two chargeable physical damage accidents within the past two years, and 4 or 5 comprehensive claims for windshield replacements in my two drivable cars over the past 5 years, so I’m not finding cheap coverage anywhere.

Have any of you run into similar restrictions?

    I’m confused…

To insure the S2000 as a “classic” is has to be 2008 or newer? Doesn’t seem to make sense to me.
