While surfing another forum the question of wire wheels came up. Someone posted that MG Magic had wire wheels for VW based Mercedes Gazelles. I checked their price list and a set of 5 costs a little over $900. Add $100 for shipping and that makes it $200 a wheel FOR A SET OF 5. I’m going to call them tomorrow and see if their wires for the Gazelle will fit the TD. When I find out I’ll post it.

"If one thing matters, everything matters" - from the book The ShackOkay folks. Here’s the news on the MG Magic wire wheels for our TD. The reason they list the 4 and 5 lug wheels for the VW on the Gazelle/SSK portion and NOT the TD portion is because of the fender width. The kit manufacturers narrowed the fender for the TD and if you purchase the wire wheels, which will fit the VWs, the wheels will stick out past the end of the fender by at least 2 inches. That’s why MG Magic doesn’t sell them for our VW based TDs. They do sell them for the Ford and Chevy based TDs. So there you have it.
