    Ever have the newer fan rub the fan shroud? A friend of mine showed me how he cured that little problem. When you put the fan on the generator/alternator you use two spacers (thick washers) and then the fan. If it rubs, he removes the second thick washer and adds a generator/alternator pulley shim or two. He says sometimes it takes a couple of tries but he gets it set. I had a small rub and did that and viola…she’s not rubbing any more. Just thought I’d pass this tidbit on.

    I don’t know who your friend Viola is.

    But it’s “voilà” (contraction of vois là, literally, “see there”).
    (And my high school French teacher said I’d never amount to anything! Ha!)

    Thanks, Paul! It’s all I can do not to throttle someone when I see it as “wala.” And I got a D in French the last year I took it.
