    Off to the Silver Dollar Showdown in Reynolds, GA. Its a VW
    show, swap meet and drag race. Been waiting all year for this one.

    Got a few cork valve cover gaskets (never can have enough of those), some extra engine tin screws and checked out some switches but didn’t see any I liked. Then watched the last of the first run of the drag meet. Then off to the car show with my camera and went to take the first picture and …nothing. Checked the camera out and no battery. I had left both camera batteries in the charger at the house. Moral of the story…batteries. Don’t leave home without them.

    Great time! And funny too when they had an open session for whomever wanted to run their VWs. Racing bugs ran times in the 9s and during the open session four VW busses made the run. Fastest bus had a time of 17+ seconds for 1/8th mile. Way to much fun for this geezer!

    We had a classic and antique car show in my neighborhood on Saturday.  I, of course did the opposite.  I took my cell phone to take photos, not my good, DSLR, and quickly ran out of battery power taking so many pictures.  I didn’t get half way through the large showing.

    and we had a wonderful car show this past Saturday the AACA  of Cape Fear ..over 150 cars ..I love the  1930’s classics  and I did  bring  two batteries for my  DSLR .  did the same as  Allen a few years back at the Pinehurst Concourse car show.
