Hi,
My name is Adam and I was recently given (my next door neighbor has too many projects) a 1952 MG TD replica with a 1966 volkswagen beetle as the donor car. The car is dark green with a tan top and interior. I would like to change the top and interior to black. I met a couple other owners at a cars and coffee event this morning and they gave me this website so here I am. I love the photos and will try not to lurk too much. I am currently fixing the steering, installing the gas tank, and changing some other minor things. I hope to have it out before the end of summer.
Thanks very much,
Adam

while the replicas are a lot of fun to drive, there’s always work to be done under the spare tire! At least that’s my experience…

"Drive Happy"July 17, 2017 at 7:32 am #303766Hi Everyone,
Thanks for helping me get here Ed. I do hope to have “Jeeves” done in time for the convoy to VA beach. Here is what he looked like before I took the nose off to fix the steering box angle and add a steering coupler. Now the steering coupler just needs to get here. I have a fuel tank and all the major parts. They said it ran when it was parked so I am optimistic. Now if only it didn’t have floorpan rust.

July 17, 2017 at 7:36 pm #303767Ah, a project! Don’t worry about rust…if it’s not too bad you can get after it after the VA Beach run.
I’d love to visit Jeeves some time. Looks like he has an even fancier lift than Bridget’s.

"Drive Happy"July 18, 2017 at 10:37 pm #303770@edsnova I would love to have you and Bridget visit Jeeves. I would welcome some first hand advise and critique as well. You can make suggestions for my garage as well. You can help me get Jeeves onto the lift too. I am already starting to think of things to upgrade.
@billnparts do they usually come in red? I haven’t seen a red one at all in the wild. There are a bunch if you look online though. So what date is the VA cruise? I need to get that onto my wife’s calendar.

July 19, 2017 at 3:29 am #303772It’s just that the last several years when we have gotten together most cars have been red. Unless Roy showed up with his white car, I’ve always been the odd duck.
The VA Beach event hasn’t been posted yet, but should be sometime mid October.
