Unfortanatly No Surge stands about 6’2″ there wasn’t enough room for his legs (had to put feet and legs to the other side of the car. ) Plus His mom didn’t like the idea of him driving it to the prom. So I ended up paying for a limo for all of them. Well worth the money (poor limo driver had to listen to those girls for a hour .)

Ed, There isn’t anything that can cause static timing to change except point wear. What distributor are you running? Mine is their old sva. MiGi had a 009 when I bought it. Runs much better with the sva. You may be in for a major tuneup: oil, valves, points, timing, carb. While I do believe that you were running rich, leaning out the mixtur…[Read more]

From that one shot, I can see why dogs usually aren’t welcome.

Mine is built on an English Ford Escort. Not so much a kit car as a complete replica built in South Africa on a new 1986 frame. I put a starter on it once with no trouble. The trouble I had was finding the correct part which I finally got out of London.
BEFORE YOU TEAR INTO IT, LET ME OFFER YOU THIS. Five or six years ago Bebop started to cl… -

It’s legal to pass that way ONLY if the farm vehicle is at least, as the old Rush tune put it, “two lanes wide.”

Well, we made it back. Pulled into my drive at 6pm. A little over 1100 miles towing with another 350 while MiGi was under her own power. Like Bill, we were fortunate to have no breakdowns of any sort. Our TD’s are so light, they tow beautifully (four wheels on the ground). I was pulling with a smallish 2008 Mercury Mariner SUV with a 3.0 V6…[Read more]

Ed,
Linda and I were looking for the folks that sell the Kit Car Builder magazine. Can’t get one here in GA so we subscribed at Carlisle. Plus…I scored some needed parts and a couple of grill badges. AND…a set of actual (London ONLY) vehicle license plates. That will look great on the front bumper of my TD “Moneypenny”. -

Julie! Dang! Sorry about that. She’s a trooper. And why did we not track down Allen and his wife & kidnap them on the ice cream run? Should’ve put them both in my car and rode with you.Regrets, regrets.Right on the oil change. Gonna re-set the timing this week, back it off a few degrees, then reset the idle. Betting that gets most of it. Oil change…[Read more]
