I have thought about Petronix for my Ghia and TD but I haven’t done enough looking yet. Is the Petronics electronic ignition used on mechanical distributors ONLY or can they be used on a vacuum advance distributor as well? Not saying that the guys using vacuum advance distributors don’t use Petronics I just don’t know anyone other than mechanical…[Read more]

I have used Pentroics in several of my cars. I will also use it in my migi. I have never had one fail yet . But you never know!

I know a lot of people that are very happy with Pertronix.
The spark unit in the Pertronix may fail. If it does you are stuck…unless you have the mechanical parts to put back.So keep the old points, condenser and rotor in your car. -

In an attempt at standardizing our shirt look, I dragged and dropped your (Ed’s)
“TDReplica: unmatched fun-per-dollar” for the back on my order. But as I said, I had to go with a red shirt because of a white car. -
edward ericson replied to the topic our store in the forum General Discussion 13 years, 3 months ago
So on the back are we going with TD Replica: Unmatched fun, or TD Replica: Unmatched fun per dollar ?or Mossberg’s Posseor More Coffee For Wobby

If you go through the ordering process on line, she will contact you via email and give you an estimate and clarify anything that she may have questions on. It’s what I did, – rather painless and easy.

Okay…going to order two shirts. Is it better to order on line or call her with the order?

I would have done the same thing, and assumed the connection block was a separate part!

If you need more pic’s just ask, glad you had the part . flaring the brake lines are not to hard to do,Just need to practice a little. Also harbor freight has a flaring tool and bender set price is not bad and works pretty decent.

Ed ….yes I like the flat4 and it is way less expensive…I love the retro look and feel of it. I spoke to a parts guy at V W DUB and he said it should bolt right on. I have not had a chance to check out my hub/steering wheel…that’s next thanks for your help…
-
edward ericson replied to the topic banjo steering wheel wanted in the forum General Discussion 13 years, 3 months ago
John, as I said, I like the Flat 4 a lot. If I were going to try it, I’d buy just the wheel and see if it will bolt to your existing Grant adaptor hub. I believe it will. The $90 part Flat 4 sells as an adaptor is meant to raise the wheel off the dash (like a dished wheel) so it will clear the turn signal switch. Don’t buy it. (Not yet, at least).…[Read more]
