In the “Our Store” tab it says coming soon…TD Replica.com T-shirts, polo shirts, and hats. Are they still in the works or are we going to drop the idea? I’d like to have a TD Replica.com hat like is pictured.

Indeed it is a better turn of events. Any time you can learn how to do your own work you get multiple benefits. You gain knowledge and experience, satisfaction from doing a good job yourself, save some cash and really raise your enjoyment level. Good on ya. Make it a great learning experience and have fun.

After this week’s adventure trying to tow my London Roadster, when a neighbor came over to lend a big pipe wrench and his muscles to changing the ball on the draw bar, he mentioned that the guy in the apartment at the house next to me used to rebuild VW engines and make sand rails. After a brief talk with him last night, he offered to come over…[Read more]

I think I read every post in this one, but I never found out where Carlisle is. What state is it located in?As far as long drives, go, I made it most of the way from Seattle to Phoenix, but had several breakdowns along the way. That extended my total trip from 10 days to a full two weeks, and she still isn’t running again yet.

To Edsnova
Definitely a selling point! I added the photo to the EBay ad with a little explanation and a ‘plug’ for this site.
Thanks!

Is it still possible to order the 2011 Calendar? I got confused at the link. I didn’t see where to order an existing calendar.

Thing’s got me confused. The leak seems to have stopped. The MC reservoir is still full. I drove the car today after work and it feels exactly the same as it did last week. Same brakes. Same everything.Guess I’ll rack her up this weekend and run some tests, see if the rear wheels are responding to the brake pedal.meantime, the new speedo cable…[Read more]

Yes, sir! I am having too much fun. Turning the ball over requires a couple of big wrenches. I have one 1 5/8 inch that fits one side, now waiting for a neighbor who has a pipe wrench that should fit the other. Here’s a shot of the re-worked end that attaches to the car:

Turn your ball over or they make different hieght balls. its easy. One other thought as far as tow lights I tapped into my Rear lights and ran my Tow wire up to my front. I drop her on the to bar and plug in and away I go. Its not that hard. Your having way too much fun with that tow bar. Sorry

For the fiberglass issue, I found some suction cup tow lights, so I’ll await their delivery. But in the meantime, I had three trips to the other tow shop in Glendale that offered custom welding work. A trip there yesterday to drop off the tow bar, and a trip early this afternoon to pick it up and have my 4-way electrical installed so I can ho…[Read more]

Thanks, Mark. I got the kit, I think, coil should be in the box. I talked to a guy at Peek a few weeks back (Sean, was it?). Super nice guy & hope to meet some day. Hear he’s moving across the Bay though, so maybe I can get to the PG County shop before that happens.

Yeah, I looked at the photos in your gallery and I see what you mean about the extreme angle. I don’t know much about the London Roadster kit. The FiberFab kit is sort of your “everyman’s” basic replica. I always liked it, but when I compare it to something like “Ringo’s” Classic Roadster Duchess, I am humbled. It won’t command the money that his…[Read more]

Ed, don’t forget to get the Pertronix coil too. If you are using an OEM or Bosch blue coil, chances are it will have an internal resistor that knocks the voltage down to 7 or 8 volts. Hence no hotter spark than stock points/condenser.
The beauty of a pointless ignition is that you can run 12v to the coil and it makes gobs more secondary voltage.…[Read more] -

Rich, you are very logical. I didn’t say I was rational in having both. Ha, Ha! I’m getting feelings to sell my London Roadster and maybe bid on your V8. I’ve got coil over shocks, but as someone else said, they are at an extreme angle and I don’t know how effective they are.The S corners like she’s on rails but my London Roadster is not so t…[Read more]

Paul,
I had just put my Dad’s old Antique plate on it while I was still working on it and before I registered it in 2009. It is now registered as a regular passenger car. Mass. has it a Make of “COMP” short for Composite Vehicle.

All,
Yeah, the V6 is a very nice engine for this light car.
Mark, not sure I could do anything now that I have a bonafide EBay bid on the car.
BTW, the S2000 is Gran Prix White! I still have my Acura 3.5 RL too. Something just has to go, and the MG was the most obvious choice. MGLondonRoadster, I agree both are very fun and different rides. I…[Read more] -

Rich,
In your photo gallery, I see Massachusetts Antique plates on your car. But in the e-bay ad, it looks like standard plates.
What is the car titled as? And how is she registered now? Antique? Standard passenger car? Something else?PMOSSBERG40696.5337615741 - Load More
