It needed restoration we took it down to the chassis, rebuilt the transaxle, new brakes, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, lines, removed clutch,…[Read more]

That is pretty cool Doug. How do you charge it up? And how long must it be on the charger to go from dead to full charge?

Wow that is alot of nice work the pictures look really good. How long are the batteries good for? I mean total life expectancy. How much would you say you have wrapped up in the conversion. I think I would miss the purr and rev of the gas engine.

I converted a Classic Coach over to electric last year It’s running a 72 volt drive system with a 40 hp D&D EV motor and a Alltrax controller It has 12 6volt EV batteries and one lighting system 12volt. We did a complete frame off and added battery boxes to the area below on each side of the motor and seven batteries in the front. The…[Read more]

I’m going to wax up my surfboard and hit the beach…the northwest winds are holding up the curl. Besides, the 35 degree water is 20 degrees warmer than the wind chill temp.

Geoff, You don’t have to rub it in, most of us are suffering in the cold! Seriously, I’m glad for you,it helps us to remember how good it is when the weather is warm. I’m looking for spring and it can’t get here too soon for me.

Hey guys this is Vermont, Put the top up windows in and stay off icy roads. The VW based unites have all that weight in the rear they handle fine. you even get heat while your rolling. The tranny is a little tight first thing but it warms up. The biggest problem is seeing, no defrost. I quote here from “A tale of two MGs”
“Since we had sold our…[Read more] -

Just got back from our farewell dinner with Greg and his Lady. The month has gone by so fast.
Had a few days of top down weather, then someone opened the freezer doors.
Car is going back into storage for 128 days till I retire and come down to Florida permanently. Short cold snaps will be tolerable then. -

So I’m in Dick’s Sporting Goods tonight looking at fishing poles & a guy comes up and ask what I’ll be fishing for. I tell him stripers but it’s looking like they’re not going to let us take them this spring anyway so . . .. “What are you talking about,” the guy says. “The season is right now! I’m going out tonight with a friend.”It’s 20 degrees…[Read more]

It’s sad that Mel came to Florida and the cold followed him. I wish he could have had more warm weather to enjoy his time with the MG. Perhaps this will make his retirement look even better. It’s cold in NC too, I’m sitting by the fire thinking of spring.

Thanks for the photos Will, of the Volvo and your e-brake work.
I’m sure you are fully aware of this, but it bears mentioning anyway…when you weld in those new pans…remember there is a fuel line running along the bottom of that center tunnel, usually along the right side of the tunnel.PMOSSBERG40185.0070717593
