I would recommend the sva dist with the 30 pict carb as well. even though mine runs well with a dist from a fuel injected car, it ran just as well with the svs, and poorer with the 009 . The only place I’d run an 009 is with dual carbs when you have no venturi vacuum signal.Ed

Well, I’m certainly glad to hear that. I was dangerously close to taking my freshly sharpened hatchet and chopping a hole in the back of my TD. I will sleep soundly tonight.

Well I did the 1st coat on the front of the right side cowl. Paint looked to be a really close match. Then……….the paint dried. Way darker once dry. Fortunately its just the 1st coat but back to ye olde paint shoppe I go. Maybe they can go a little brighter red by adding a tad of orange or white. newkitman2013-10-04 09:49:10

Sam, we’re getting off topic here but here’s my experience.  I  switched to a SVA dist on my PICT 30 carb and all my hesitation problems disappeared.  Ran much better.  

Roy, I’m still working with my carb problems. I’m not sure why it is so difficult. I’ll be taking the carb off again and will probably drill out the main jet per Ed’s suggestion and see if I can adj. the accel pump.
