Today was a very interesting day.I accidently scracthed a window wing .I went to e street plastics on my computer found what i wanted 6 dollars for material 15 dollars for shipping what happened to if it fits it ships. Went to a home town hardware where my daughter lives when visiting, and asked do you have plexiglass.Yes what size do you want. He had many small sizes 2 ft x2ft 1ft x 1ft od shapes many thicknesses you name it ,it was there. Matched up old wing to a od shape .He said thats 3 bucks.Took it home roughed it in with saber saw finished it with a bench grinder an palm sander.Sometimes small hardwares are the best.

InactiveSome times Scratches can be sanded out with very fine sand paper 2000 grit or finer and polishing afterwards. Found a piece of plexiglass at local plastic supply store have enough to make 3 sets of wind wings. Store TAP Plastic. Watch when driling plastic can crack. When tighening bolts on plastic can crack plastic if to tight. Make sure bolt has clearance in plastic.

October 4, 2013 at 7:11 am #252225Gabe, If you haven’t already decided on shape, I believe mine to be “stock”. I could trace them on graph paper and post which would give the shape and angles.
October 4, 2013 at 7:53 am #252226Thanks Juneybug and Roy. I can design one from that info.
