"Drive Happy"February 11, 2013 at 6:32 pm #254451NICE , good luck on your rebuild Dan R
February 12, 2013 at 1:45 pm #254452The frame on these was built for MGB mechanical components. The frame is 2.5″ x 4″ steel tube with eighth inch thickness. It is very robust. It has an MGB front crossmember welded in. It came fitted with a 1970 engine and overdrive transmission. I have a spare 1971 engine that I am going to put in it for now. Over the next year, I am going to rebuild the 70 engine and “warm it up” a little and probably put it back in next winter.

September 17, 2013 at 6:04 pm #254455Bruce, that is beyond beautiful! Congratulations on a superb job — and here’s hoping you’ve dodged the worst of that horrible weather you’re dealing with in Colorado.

"Drive Happy"November 25, 2013 at 12:44 am #254458All I can say is WOW . That is beyond beautiful!! That should be a top show car. If you need parts, check out MG Magic, a lot of the parts are the same on the TD’s from 52 to 55.
December 16, 2013 at 6:10 pm #254459Nice! Those wire wheels and knock-offs make it look very authentic. They dont make them like That any more! Makes mine look like a rat rig. Good luck!
Randy in Chandler Arizona, great B-bopp'in teritory. I must have the only one in the country made by Rich Industries in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, on a 1986 Ford Cortina (english ford escort) It's a 1600cc straight four cylinder front engne, 4 speed, changed from right side driver to left side with several shafts and u-joints. BEBOP because I once had an MGB with license plate MG-BEPOP in Virginia.
March 15, 2014 at 3:09 pm #254460WELL, NOT EXACTLY A RAT RIG… BUT MINE HAS STEEL CORTINA WHEELS WITH AUDI HUBCAPS WITH THE METAL MG LOGO BADGES CEMENTED INTO THE MIDDLE CIRCLES. I TRIED A SET OF THOSE 16 FINGER MAG WHEELS THAT MOSS USED TO SELL YEARS AGO BUT COULDN’T GET ONES THAT FIT THE ENGLISH ESCORT. LOOK BACK AT THE POSTS ON BOAT WAX IF YOU WANT TO TRY THE BEST GEL-COAT WAX I EVER FOUND.

October 10, 2014 at 3:12 pm #254461I had previously posted pictures of my red TF Victor. I have recently taken delivery of my second one. This one is actually one of the factory built cars. It has suffered some neglect, but is a good start on another beautiful car. I hope to have it finished by next summer, when it will need a new owner.
It looks pretty sad in the pictures, because it arrived in a slightly disassembled condition and was just piled together for the pictures.BruceOctober 10, 2014 at 3:42 pm #254462I just love picture #2. It would make a great T-shirt for those of us trying to Save the world; One TD replica at a time.
(Except, of course, it’s a TF)October 10, 2014 at 7:32 pm #254463Wow! Great find! And for it to go to someone who really knows what it takes to rebuild her–that’s good luck all around.
Please post a build thread here. We’re all keen to learn.October 10, 2014 at 9:52 pm #254464Hi Bruce!
Ditto what Ed said. Start a thread on your rebuild!
I might be out in Broomfield CO around New Years. Would love to meet up and see your cars!
