Stumbled across this “factory buit” one that I’ve never heard of, only a few miles away:

Early FF TDr on 69 VW pan
Slowly coming back from the ashes...That sure looks like what started out as the TD2000 in New Zealand. I think the company was eventually bought and moved to Singapore, but I didn’t hear anything about them selling cars here in the U.S.
On balance, way too expensive. I do like the 3rd brake light and the TD logo on the radiator shell and the wheel hubs, as well as the padding along the top of the doors (something I’ve been considering asking my upholstery guy about doing). Had to chuckle, though, at the website brag about its “slew of modern features like … side curtains and manual transmission.”
