Brake Job Time

I thought the “break in ” time was bogus, too.  I won’t trust that shop or chain again.  But they did give me a lifetime warranty on pads, shoes and shocks for a minimal fee.

I’ve sent e-mails to two hot rod shops here in Phoenix, so hopefully I’ll hear from them this next week.  Those shop hours are not friendly to my work schedule, but maybe I can work something out.

Let me guess Midas?  I had a bad experance with them, when I put the header on, they wanted $250 to make a 4′ pipe from the header to the muffler.  Big Muffler did it for $35, and replaced all the hangers tucked everything up tight.  Did a fantastic job!!

No, it is a chain dba: Just Brakes.  But they do more, like oil changes, shocks, alignments, and who knows what else.

I certainly felt like it was a ripoff.  So much money for no noticeable difference.

How about changing the front end over to a ford mustang II. you can put bigger brakes and rotors.

Thanks, but I can’t view the Angie’s list without being a member, can I?

I’m taking it to a hot rod shop in a week and a half.  Changing out something like that is beyond anything I’ve ever attempted.
