Decided to sell our TD r about 3 months ago. Tried the “Replica’s for sale ” web site, Craig’s list (several cities), and twice on eBay. Only got one offer from someone in Virginia for $7,000 from eBay, turned it down, replicas web site came through. Sold Audrey last week. I utilized that custom tow bar I built for Carlisle a couple years…[Read more]

The one Paul pictured is like mine, but I’m mounting on top of the bumper under the spare. I don’t have to worry about the rear hatch opening. It should turn out mounted more like what Ed pictured. May end up with a double fold, hinged in the middle. Like everything else on we do on these, completely custom fitted.

If you want a fold up style that sits closer to the bumper and folds up when not in use. This style doesn’t obscure rear view mirror site range. Check into Ford Model A luggage rack.. It will take a little adapting but it’s the look I want. I picked up a used one off ebay for $20. Haven’t got it mounted yet, next project though, if…[Read more]

Like George said, 40 is not an interstate. It is part of the original “Crossroads of America Highways” where old rt 40 and old 25 met in Vandalia Oh. I70 has replaced 40 E/W and I75 has replaced 25 N/S. Both 40 and 25 are still used, but more for the scenic routes. Max speed in places about 55 but mostly 35 especially thru all the small cities.

If you guys on the left coast do make the expedition east, Old rt 40 almost passes my house in Dayton Ohio. We could plan a cook out or at least stop in for an adult beverage or 2.

Allen, Wow!! Those turned out great! I really didn’t do anything but trace the outline, you did the hard part. Hey if anyone’s looking for a Ford TDR wife and I are talking about selling ours. (Gallery 1235) I think.

I don’t know if any car company actually made one. We put together our own and carry to some of the car shows, as a display thing. We use it too when ever we head out for a picnic.

That’s the movie my wife and I saw waaay back when we first started dating. Fell in love with each other and TD’s. Said some day we would have one, that’s how we came up with the name for our car “Audrey”. We had forgotten that the car went up in flames and ended up in a pond, until we re-watched it again right after we bought our TDr. Exc…[Read more]

Mine is behind the dash, left side close to the edge. Easy to reach and out of the way. It only took me about a year to fine out I had high beams. There is a couple other switches under the dash I still don’t know about.

I haven’t seen this one before. Pretty close to what mine looked like when I bought her about 6 years ago. I’m planning a car show in Cinn in the spring “Rollin on the River” put on by the Kiwanis club. HUGE show we did it a couple years ago, really well laid out. Maybe he will be there if it does’t sell.

Montie Henderson replied to the topic Radiator too wide for CMC kit in the forum Chevy/Ford Kits 9 years, 7 months ago
I looked up that radiator, It is not like mine. Unfortunately I have no clue what CMC used on my car. It is about the same size, but both top and bottom radiator hoses are on the passengers side on mine.

Flip that’s the one thing on my car that’s definitely not from the Pinto donor car. So far I haven’t figured out what it’s off of. I had to have it repaired last summer. I wanted to replace it with a better larger or thicker one, mostly because she runs a little warm 200*. Even with the addition of a electric fan.If I ever have to have it r…[Read more]
