    Getting ready to make room for my foot  for gas pedal on a chevette  kit.I am going th move the brake pedal over a couple inches I think I know a way to do this.Do you folks have any ideas  how to do this ?Any input would be appreciated.Rich

    On my V-dub someone just bent the pedals. Didn’t do them any harm, it seems.

    What’s the Chevette setup look like? Seems to me you could either bend the pedal stem or relocate the whole thing, including the master cylinder.

    You might also consider the gas pedal and options for making it more compact. Original TDs had very small foot boxes, and the gas pedal was just a roller on the end of the linkage. Placed low near the floor, right next to the tunnel, it left enough room for most folks to discern the brake from the accelerator.

     BEND ,, that is the only way to do it under the master cylinder there is no room to the right to move it with the intake there  so just disconnect the break peddle and remove it out of the car remember the car is plastic and Will Burn

    use a hot wrench [torch] using a vice to hold it i cut apiece of tin as a guide as where i wanted it bend to . Dan  good luck

    Thanks guys I did it over the week end.I took  the pedal out heated it and bent it and then add a biigger medal pad from junk yard and weld it on to the left with a brace .Now have more of brake pedal andcan hit the gas with no problems.Thanks
