When you make reservations at the hotel, they will tell you that they are “full” if you don’t first tell them that you are with the “Speedster’s Owners Group”.
Here is the link to register with the show at Carlisle:Are we expecting the great and elusive Wobby to make an appearance?December 29, 2012 at 6:30 pm #252457I am also registered for Friday and Saturday. Can’t wait till Spring.

The cruises sound like a blast!! I dont have a top for my car and it gets light feeling around 50 – 55 mph how fast do you go on the cruises? I dont want to sound like a wimp sorry. As far as the show my car isnt what I would call a show car does that matter? My husband may or may not come he doesnt really sound all that interested. My car is a 52 migi out side not to bad inside not so great. Any way would love to know more?
Thanks DonnaDecember 30, 2012 at 5:19 pm #252461Guys, I’ve been after Donna to join us in Carlisle. She is local to me, although I have never met her or seen her car. I think all she needs is a little encouragement from the rest of us. The more the merrier.

"Drive Happy"December 30, 2012 at 9:24 pm #252462We all stay in Wobby’s camper on the grounds, Donna. It does get a little stinky in there, but nothing you can’t handle.
December 30, 2012 at 9:29 pm #252463Donna, If you haven’t met Ed yet, – he’s a very funny guy.
December 30, 2012 at 9:37 pm #252464Donna, for accommodation info send a private message to Paul Mossberg. Click back to page one of this thread and then click on Paul’s name next to his posting about hotel accommodations. You’ll get a drop-down menu. Click on “send private message.”
December 30, 2012 at 9:39 pm #252465Also, Donna: don’t worry about how your car looks. Everyone is welcome and the show is non0-judged. All the serious bragging rights come on the autocross track. The cruises are slowish. 50mph would be hauling on a cruise.
But your handling concerns sound familiar to me. Is your car built on a VW pan?
December 31, 2012 at 12:50 am #252466And Donna…do NOT worry about Ed. He’s really harmless. Besides, the rest of us will protect you!
Please come, regardless of the shape your TD is in!

December 31, 2012 at 7:56 am #252467Donna I hope you come along. Linda and I went this past year and didn’t have the TD as I’m still building it. Had a great time anyway. If you don’t come you’ll miss a great time with a great group of folks.

"If one thing matters, everything matters" - from the book The ShackDecember 31, 2012 at 10:06 am #252468I’m in – signed up for the show – just need to sign up for my room today – I think today is the last day for the Carlisle 20% off deal
December 31, 2012 at 10:06 am #252469You guys sound awesome!!! Yes my car is a vw. I will message Paul for hotel info. Sounds like a lot of fun!! As long as rain isnt in the forecast I think I am in. My car is a migi and the top that came with it is to small. To have on made was over $1,000. so I just drive on sunny days. Thanks for such a warm welcome guys I look forward to meeting you all and your wives!!!
DonnaDecember 31, 2012 at 10:13 am #252470That top might stretch out if left in the sun. It is also adjustable. We can show you.
December 31, 2012 at 10:22 am #252471My top is a bear to install if cold. Put it in front of a heat lamp or use a hair dryer. As Ed says leave it in direct sun on a hot day and you will most likely get it on. When installed, they look best if they are a bit on the small side.

My speedster will not be ready ( remodeling the house ).Donna – do as I do – go top less and just duck down lower and drive faster ( no top on my ride ) – hope to see you there
December 31, 2012 at 6:21 pm #252475Sorry Donna – just re-read my post – talking about the car of course
January 1, 2013 at 2:06 am #252476God willing, Ed will NOT arrive topless!

January 1, 2013 at 4:16 am #252477Isn’t Ed always topless? Heavens to Murgatroyd, he spends so much time basking in the sun that you might get the erroneous idea that he drives a French TD. (or is that windburn(?)) He doesn’t even own a “top”.
January 1, 2013 at 10:04 am #252478Hey–HEY!
My car has a top. Here’s my father in law under it and ready to endure his first rainy ride:
And I usually wear a shirt–though I am quite proud of my well-defined pectoral muscles, drum-tight abs and luxurious mane of neck, back and chest hair.
January 1, 2013 at 11:22 am #252479Ooops, with apologies to Ed, it as Schu that threatened to arrive topless.
I won’t comment on whether that is better or worse! 😉Paul Mossberg

January 1, 2013 at 1:42 pm #252480There is a BIG difference between topless and shameless.
