The transaxle mount that is welded to the chassis (the part that the transaxle front mount bolts to) is curved(bowed) inward towards the chassis. I don’t recall it being curved on any other VW but have only worked ghias and busses. This is my 1st bug chassis. The Ghia front mount is a totally different setup. Is it supposed to be bowed inward?

Its amazing how the SAC saying “Hammer it to fit and paint it to match” works every time. Also neat how quick it was using a propane torch and 3-pound sledge. Now I can complete the chassis. Just need the eccentric bushings to arrive and weld in the floor pans. Pictures as soon as the chassis is ready to weld in the pans.
