I’ll be back in Phoenix by the middle or end of next week, I hope.  If it’s still available, I’ll be happy to look at it for someone.  I’ve dreamed about a red MG with a white top for a long time, but ended up with a cream colored MG Replica with a brown top.   Color wasn’t primary
 after all, but having an engine that I feel comfortable with was.

UPDATE:

I just spoke with the Phoenix, AZ owner of the VW based TD replica on Craigslist.  He needs to sell as soon as possible.  The couple just downsized to a two-car garage in a townhouse and doesn’t have room for this one.

He’s also lowered the price, hoping to spark a quicker sale, it is now at $4,300 and could be negotiable.  He is motivated to sell.  He is just around a few blocks from where I live if anyone wants me to take a closer look at it.
