Does anybody have the manufacturer’s manual on the Marlene model of CR Ltd. vehicles? I recently came into ownership of one, and I am attempting to restore it. I am currently unable to get the starter motor to turn, but can get power to it. I can’t figure out what’s wrong, or where to start in sorting through the rat’s nest of wires I was left with.

Just bought a factory built (1990) MB Marlene on Hagerty auction last week.  I ordered a manual from MGMagicClassicMotorParts.com at the recommendation of another club member.  It is due in Wednesday.  I’ll let you know if  it is any good.

MB Marlene with 302 V8, automatic, A/C, Mustang II front suspension.  Engine was professionally upgraded by former owner with Ford Racing heads, roller cam, intake, headers, and Holly fuel injection.  A/C hasn’t worked for 20 years, and I’m having a shop dig into it.  Cruise control also is not operational. Runs and looks great!

I’m now trying to figure out a solution to severe wind buffeting in the cockpit over 50 mph, as I would like to drive it to some meets and rallies.  I hate to put the top up, but I may have no choice.

Received the assembly manual for the Marlene from MGMagicClassicMotorParts.com today.  It is very detailed and well worth the$27.

Congrats on the new whip, Bill.

Some guys have made behind-the-seat wind screens like you see on Boxsters and such to ameliorate the reverse blow-through you experience in open cars at speed.

This is a bit of an arts and crafts project but very simple in principle, and reasonably effective.

My solution is to stay off the interstate highways, mostly. Just makes everything more special.

I race my V8 TD and often remove the windshield while doing so. Wind buffeting is much less with it off and just running a Brooklands. Don’t know if that is an option for you.
