Cool Ideas for Your TD

So I was at the VW Meltdown car show yesterday in Montgomery, AL and chatted with a friend about his kit car, a 37 Jaguar SS-100. He has two cool ideas (shown here) that work and look great and would work well on our TDs. The first is the heater duct that he got from Lowes. A “Y” pipe and a 3 inch shower drain cover. The “Y” pipes connect to his heater boxes. He says the only problem is he can’t use full heat because it’ll drive you out of the car its so hot. The other was his regular VW center console. All he did was turn it around and it fit right in. Looks great AND you get two cup holders rather than holding the cup in your lap.

That console looks great. Do you know what VW or year it came out of?
These would be even better if there was some sort of locking compartment to keep prying eyes out.
