I just picked up a 71 Vw Beetle, 35000 miles, Runs well, started with the idea it was going to be my base for a Glockler spyder. Got it home, my son loves it, and its kinda fun. The Drivers seat is not correct and I thought as long as I’m trying to procure parts to play with and ultimately make into a new baby. I would restore this somewhat. Any body have a 71 set of front vw seats they would like to sell. Cheap is important but not vital.
June 16, 2010 at 2:37 pm #241657Richard! Tell your son to get his own car! You build the Glockler III car that Johnny Von Neumann raced and I’ll replicate the Von Neumann Special TD. We’ll face off on the track at Carlisle in a couple years.

I really don’t know what I’m doing. He has windshield, lights, no dashboard or drive train. it is mounted on a 70 pan we’ll see. Till then I have to justify this other car kicking around

I looked at the Glockler. Cool car.
