Duchess Fenders Removal/Re-attachment

I have a question for the Duchess Experts:   There is some body work that I need to do on the fenders, and I plan to repaint them.   It would be much easier to do the work with the fenders off ( a couple of breaks are all the way through),  and now that the body is suspended in the garage, it would be very easy to remove the fenders.    My question is about re-attaching them.     I have a heavy duty (two handed) rivet gun, but where can I find heavy duty rivets?   The rivets I have seen in the stores have looked to be of a lesser quality than the original rivets.    What saith the experts?

You may also consider Rivnuts (a threaded insert) because they are removable, as opposed to Pop Rivets, which need to be drilled out if you need to make any future repairs. Harbor Freight has a Rivnut installer tool.
