E brake handle too long

Seems the further I get in this build the more small issues I seem to find!!  Guess that is the fun of this build project.  Has anyone had an issue with their e brake handle being too long and interfering with the shifter when shifting into 2nd and 4th.  The e brake handle is rather long and came from a 1979 Pinto so assumed it would work.  Anyone have a good source for a shorter handle?

Mine was originally built with the original Pinto handle and encountered no interference problems. That handle eventually broke and I replaced it with a mid 80’s Mustang handle. Bolts right in but pulls up at a slight angle. I would modify it but I got used to it.
