If I remember correctly, you are going right past Schu’s house. Lasso him and bring him along. I look forward to seeing you there. It’s only like 7 or so Carlisle runs for ice cream strung together. “Nice and easy does it every time.” Hoiw ’bout you John B? Can’t we talk you into it?

That is an awesome picture John. Taken right in the golden hour! And at first I was wondering why you only had one riding companion.Didn’t spot the dog on the right until the third time I looked at the photo!PMOSSBERG2012-09-26 09:20:07

September 26, 2012 at 11:48 am #251603Just saw this – I guess for me it would depend on if we were to drive up on Saturday AM ( I have no vacation time left ) and the weather – I have no top on my ride and if they were calling for rain or really cold I would have to bow out. Let us see how it goes and I will run it by my wife and see if she already had plans for that weekend ( I would be riding solo – to late in the year for her – to cold ).
Let me see if I can pull this offPS – Bill – don’t you live in PA? You coming to the upcoming Pumpkin Run in Chambersburg?September 26, 2012 at 2:18 pm #251604Sorry, no time left for me.

"Drive Happy"September 26, 2012 at 3:14 pm #251605Yeah, Schubie!
The show has a rain date so if it’s more than a sprinkle it’s all off anyway.

(Note to score keepers: this was my 2,000th post on this board. I think I should get a prize for that. I’ll understand if said prize is immediately rescinded for the post-lameness, post-haste, ex post facto).

October 7, 2012 at 8:51 pm #251610Rock Star Parking registered and booked in Oceanfront Inn… Weird though–they auto-booked me in for 11/2 leaving 11/3. Gotta change that to in on 11/3 and out on 11/4, Sunday a.m. Right everyone?
October 7, 2012 at 9:50 pm #251611Ed, I see that you registered as an MG BCW 52. Do you think that it would be better if I registered as an MG MiGi 52? (Don’t forget that though I am old(er) I am a novice at this car show stuff with Carlisle being my first. I tried to make sure that they knew that MiGi was a replica. I hope that they “seat” us all together.
October 7, 2012 at 10:14 pm #251612I doubt it matters. We can email or call them & make sure we’re all put together as the TD Replica group.
October 8, 2012 at 8:46 pm #251613I dropped them an e-mail requesting group parking for “TD Replica.com”
I told them that as of now we have 3 confirmed registrations.

"Drive Happy"October 8, 2012 at 9:03 pm #251614Cool.
Would be nice if we could get Shubie too. Really make a party of it.
So it’s looking like a Friday-Sunday jaunt then, eh? What’s your travel plan, Bill?
October 8, 2012 at 10:37 pm #251615And Larry Murphy too. Also if we could convince John B that he’s not too old to “hoist up the sails”, we would have a big showing. I lost track as to whether Paul was coming. It’s a beautiful location great grounds and about 50 old but airworthy running vintage aircraft.
October 8, 2012 at 11:35 pm #251616Hey Roy et al
I’m pretty much out of vacation time. So I’m gonna have to take a pass.

October 9, 2012 at 9:07 am #251617Sorry, but it’s just not possible.
October 9, 2012 at 9:12 am #251618OK guys – after reading through this again – you are now coming down Rt1 or 95 on Saturday morning early to arrive at 11:00 AM? I noticed that Ed said Friday, but that can’t be right?
Also – 50.00 parking and any room at the Inn you guys are staying at? Price?Sorry for the questions – I want to figure the cost and time to do this ( no vacation time ) – the wife is out and most likely will do this solo at this point. I am in the middle of a re-model at our house and trying to get it completed by Spring working the weekends so I will need to talk my wife into letting me take off – it may be hard to do both the Pumpkin Run and this run as well.October 9, 2012 at 12:23 pm #251619Due to travel time, yes, I will be traveling on Friday.
Will need to ice my knees after long hours in a cramped space.
Ed, I’m sorry I overlooked your desire to do this trip on a Saturday,
But that would be impossible to make that trip the day of the show.
If you can’t finagle a Friday trip, then I’m afraid we’re on our own.
Shu, we’re booked into the Oceanfront Inn. It’s the first hotel on the list
Of accommodations posted on the link at the beginning of this thread.
This is the reply from the show coordinators regarding group parking…It would be best if you guys can Caravan to the show and arrive at the same
time.
This way I can guarantee you can line up together. Otherwise things get
pretty hectic, because most of the
Cars tend to arrive around the same time.I saw that several of the guys had pre-registered. So that will also make
it nice and smooth.Let me know if you have any questions.

"Drive Happy"October 9, 2012 at 12:28 pm #251620That was all I could post from my phone at one shot.
If we all travel together from the Hotel we will be able to be
Parked together as a group.
Ed and Shu, if you travel Saturday, you could hook up with us there.
I’ll even buy you breakfast.Bill Ascheman

"Drive Happy"October 9, 2012 at 2:33 pm #251621I was thinking of rolling with Bill & his wife on Friday. The more I think about it, the more I think it makes more sense, because a Saturday run will require a 5 a.m. start time for me, which means I’m out of bed circa 3:30 . . . Not so great. I’m sure for Bill it’d be earlier, since he’s like 2 hours further out.
So I’m gonna steal Friday & run with Bill, I think.
I could share my room with you though, Schu. I’m solo and they come with two beds, far as I know. The rooms are cheap–like $60 or something. So if you want to split Saturday night let me know. I still have to book it because of the system the car show folks had for registration. But it’ll be no trouble.
I’m sure from Schu’s house it’s sub-three hours. You could get on the road Saturday at 8 or 9 am and get there in plenty of time. It’s my intention to leave early Sunday morn for the ride back. That’s the first day of EST also, I think. We lose an hour overnight. But it will be lighter earlier in the morning.
October 10, 2012 at 5:02 am #251622Hey Schu, There are only 19 “Rock Star Parking” spots left, so as soon as you are sure, please register – else we would not be able to park as a group and that would be a shame.
So, it looks like 4 TD’s?? So the marque will make a pretty good showing I’d say with more TD Rock Stars (right now) than any other car except Porsche and they are sponsoring the show.I’ll be traveling up from the south so as soon as you guys get the itinerary set in stone, please post so I can figure out how/where to meet up on Sat morn. I’ll just follow the leader since you guys are the long haulers.October 10, 2012 at 6:52 am #251623The museum hours are 9:00-5:00
Show times are 11:00-4:00
How about meeting up at 9:00 for breakfast and then parade to the show?Ed, pick a place around 695 and 2 to meet up. Pick the time and place.
I’d like to be there by late afternoon. My preference wound be to run 95,
But we’ll run whichever route you choose.Pray for sunshine ???
