You guys coming down 95 south or Rt 1? I will hit my boss up in the morning on the 1/2 day and see were it leads. I live in Stafford at the exit to 610 Garrisonville Rd – I am about 2 miles from 95 or Rt 1.

Dale, You might get results if you call George (the guy that I wrote to about TDr’s coming).  See one of my early entries on this thread.  It was my understanding that they had 50 rock star slots and there are only 53 total signed up as of right now.  ????  Tell him that we’re small. 🙂

OK Guys,

I talked George into opening up 10 more spots and I locked one in this morning. I have the 1/2 day off on Friday so I can hook up w/ you guys going south. We will have to work out the timing on the meet up. Ed – you still want to share a room? Have a extra bed in there? – if not I need to fix that next. We can split the cost.

Now we need this great weather to continue as I have no top.

Lastly – I need to break this to the wife that I will be gone all that weekend ( we are doing weekend re-model on the house ). What do they say? It is better to ask forgiveness then permission?

We will see how that goes – maybe I can use this as a late birthday present ( it is this weekend ).

Hopefully this will all work out.

So, even though this thread of posts is titled “For Those Near Va Beach” we from the TDreplica club have cars coming from PA (Bill-Fiberfab), MD(ED-BCW), VA(Dale-Fiberfab) & NC(Roy-Daytona MiGi). None of us are exactly “near VA Bch”.  Darn good showing, if you ask me.  I’ll bet that we stimulate some interest in our fine vehicles.

Yeah, very good showing–providing the weather cooperates. I like that two of our cars are completely topless. That’s bad-ass. Too bad Cory can’t join us with his outlaw Speedster.

Hurricane Sandy: “not really a big deal” according to the girl at the desk of the BOQ in Dam Neck Virginia (slightly south of the oceanfront where you guys are staying, yet north of the Military Aviation field).   I mention this because it sounds like the Military Aviation Museum didn’t get hit hard.  

The rest of the story:  My son, and his wife have the flu.  His kids “don’t feel so good”.  We were going to stay with them but have decided to just say “hello” by phone.  So, I called the Oceanfront Inn – Sold out.  Julie and I will be staying at the Bachelor Officers Quarters on base at Dam Neck (I’m retired USN Submarine force – 24 years).   We’re arriving Friday night and leaving Sunday morning.  

I hope that hurricane Sandy does not affect any of your plans and wish you all the best.  

I still have all of your phone #’s from Carlisle.  I am 252 671 0067.  With some luck, will see you all next Fri or Sat.  

Don’t forget to check the air in your spare tire.

Current forecast says Friday should be beautiful. Hope it holds. Chilly start about 38 degrees but should be 60 by the time we hit VA Beach. Last call, Paul. We’ll be leaving Berks County about 7:30 if you want to get out of Bath. Picking up Ed in Baltimore and Schu in VA we can parade into VA Beach.

No word from Ed? We got by OK at my house, but my project got hit and power still out – been pumping basements w/ my guys since early this morning ( sump pumps not working ). Ed’s area and north of him hit the hardest. Hope is is out and ok.
