Ok here in Baltimore. Flooding minimal, if any. Power out since 4:30 pm yesterday. Looks like it’ll be down a couple days. Bit chilly for post hurricane south breeze but not too scary.

Hope you jersey/PA boys are doing at least as well.

Glad you weathered the storm Ed.  Clap  Hope all the folks in the northeast make it through as well. I’ll be waiting for them to chime in when they get power back. My relatives in NJ, Long Island and Conn are okay so far. A little cold and wet and somewithout power but they made it.  Thumbs Up

Here in western New York , minor flooding, most schools closed, some trees down.  I personally did not lose power .I hope to get out for a drive one more time before winter settles in.

Southern Tier NY made out pretty good. Minor wind and only about 1,000 without power. Won’t take long to get back to normal.

Wind was like a freight train. Never lost power, but did lose one tree in my front yard.
    Overall, I was lucky.
Hope everyone else made it through OK and are safe.

I know. It’s completely disheartening to see the devastation up there, that was also my old stomping grounds as a kid growing up, living in NYC and then years later, living in NJ right across from mid Manhattan for 35 years before I moved to Florida. It’s hard to see those pictures and videos, but those people are survivors and can still be grateful for little things, (like being alive), as well as maintain a small sense of humor. Our hearts go out to all of them and hopefully they can get it cleaned up pretty fast and rebuild (before the nest storm comes). That area and NE got hit pretty hard this year if you remember Tropical Storm Irene a while back.

My old stomping grounds in Fairfield CT. Concord Street is about 250 yards from the South Benson Marina, which is carved out about 350 yards inland of Penfield Beach.

Here’s some national guard areal shots courtesy of the CT (formerly Bridgeport) Post.  That fourth one might be Sikorsky Airfield in Stratford.

I know they evacuated my whole neighborhood. Don’t see any pics yet though.

    Finally back!

Lost power Monday at 5:32. Just came back on this evening.

I have my own well and an all electric hose, so not having power meant no heat, no cooking, no water. Ugh.

But I ‘m not complaining. My house was undamaged, my yard is fine. Not a tree down.

    I
have at least one friend who lost their home. Literally. Swept away
into the Atlantic. And another who has four trees down and into their
    home.

Prayers for all who are still struggling Sandy’s aftermath.

Glad you’re up and running again Paul. Also glad you and the rest of the group made it through Sandy’s wrath unhurt. house and yard damage is way easier to fix than broken bones etc.
