    If we had a “required reading” list for folks who are new to older automobiles, this article should be at the top.

    If your hoses have not been upgraded to be ethanol tolerant, they WILL get you. Easy and inexpensive to upgrade, putting it off often leaves you high and dry alongside the road. Often, neglect requires cleaning the carburetor(s).

    Yeah, I read that article last spring when I was making Bridget’s new fuel system. That SAE 30R9 stuff ain’t cheap, which is why I ripped out the steel lines from the donor Suby and bent them to fit. 


    Reminds me I still need to make a more durable bootleg “swirl tank” to keep the pump happy for autoX on less than half a tank.

    I pay  more for the gas  of  course  but I use ONLY  NON-ethanol fuel ..

    pay now or pay more later..Thumbs Up
