May 11, 2016 at 8:07 am #267034You’re a good man, Ed. Figure out some method of TDr triage, and then have some fun comparing and discovering.
It was at one of these meetings that my “Roy’s Lock” was introduced to the suicide door community. At the next meeting, all who had been to the prior meeting had installed them. (This was way before Al had invented the internet.)

I think i might be able to make it – drag Dean and his TDr with me.BBQ and make a day of it?May 11, 2016 at 12:45 pm #267036Any chance sharing what kind of triage, maintenance or modifications with those of us because of distance would be unable to attend. I found the posting and exchange on suicide door locks a great contribution to the overall safety for all who keep up on the site. All that would be required would be for one of those attending to take pics and explain what was happening. Certainly not as good as being there but think of the collective benefit for all and the opportunity to share your wisdom and knowledge etc etc etc. Especially for those of us who do our own repairs. Not looking for anything as comprehensive as the Bridget saga, although it would be great if it was.

SabineMay 11, 2016 at 1:26 pm #267037Show us how to install a Subaru engine in one day?
May 11, 2016 at 1:42 pm #267038Lock in a date (without a hundred surveys) and see what the response is.
And if you can find Roy’s “drop dead gorgeous girl,” you might increase attendance.Paul Mossberg

May 11, 2016 at 3:40 pm #267039Paul, I figure the DDGG is about 65-70 years old now. Your speed?
May 11, 2016 at 9:09 pm #267040How’s June 18 for y’all? That’s a Saturday.
We could do like Roy’s old team did: half hour stints on the rack for oil changes or suspension adjustments or what have you. I’ll put some beer in the cooler and some burgers on the grill. If June 18 is NG suggest another.May 11, 2016 at 11:02 pm #267041That’s the anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo, not a very auspicious day but it looks like I’ll be able to make it. 😛

Sounds like a great afternoon at Chez Ericsen. I’ll be in sunny (I hope!) southern Cal.Paul Mossberg
