    On the VW chassis, the tunnel is indented where the pedal cluster fits to allow room for the gas pedal lever. When you move the pedal cluster to the rear as required by the TD mod, the tunnel does not have that indent. What has to be done is to remove the gas pedal lever from the pedal cluster and straighten it out  just a little bit so it will allow the pedal cluster to bolt up securely to the tunnel. Ask me how I know. Wink

    Allen, I am not questioning your approach…only the observation as to “what HAS to be done.”

    Rather than messing with the pedal alignment, the builder may modify the chassis tunnel properly, so the original pedal alignment is maintained. It’s simple, once your holes are but, you only have to dimple the side of the tunnel so the throttle cable tube aligns as it does in the stock Beetle.
