GasTank Help

Got my chassis donor and have all but the fuel tank. I’ve seen different ones for sale but before I choose one I need a little measurement help. If your TD has the VW gas tank sitting in the gas tank box what is the height from the top of the tank to the bottom of the trunk? Several VW tanks have a hump on the front of the tank and I want to be sure I get one that fits.

I think the tank you’d need is 1960-67 Beetle/Ghia…but I’m not sure. These tanks have an integral filler neck/gas cap. You have to open the hood to fuel up.

The ’68 up tanks use a body mounted filler door and neck.

Thanks Pink. I found one @ CIP1.com and Mid America Motorworks. Their both just over $100. I could get one of eBay but I prefer new.
