There are several areas on my car body that show signs of cracking around fittings, like bolt heads. Can this be repaired so that it can be smooth again?

It is likely the cracking is happening in the fiberglass and not just the gel coat. So…

Any repair is going to be a tough job, potentially patching the fiberglass and repainting.

Repair might call for removing a part (like a fender), sanding, fiberglass repair, painting and installing the part. When you get the part repaired and if a washer is called for make certain to install it and not overtighten the bolts and nuts.

Thanks guys.   I won’t have time for doing this work myself.  I just started a new job and it has long hours each day leaving no time during the week.  I’ll have to find a fiberglass repair shop and make a weekend appointment.
