Hi Folks. Due to medical issues, I was forced to not run the Pagoda Hillclimb in June. We decided to take in the 106th running of the Giants Despair Hillclimb in Laurel Run just outside Wilkes-Barre, PA to make up for it.
This was my first encounter with this hill. Very steep but with mostly nicely cambered turns.
The video is of my first (and slowest) run of the weekend. It is just the only decent video I have. This run is 61.916 seconds. By Sunday afternoon I had whittled that down to 56.694. In my class I was chasing a 1968 Jag XKE with a turbocharged Chevy 350. I managed to get within .4 seconds. If only I could have had one more run.
