    @pmossberg

    Some replicas used original style headlamp brackets, others used a simple piece of flat, stamped steel. If you are interested in the reproduction parts….

    I checked MG Magic and Prototype Research & Development Ltd. and do not see the reproduction parts listed.

    Moss Motors has them, but they are $240 each. The brackets are part 7 and you would need the bolts and studs, parts 8 and 9, on this page:

    There is a flat bar that runs through the grill shell, the brackets attach to this bar, item 62 on this page:

    And rectangular rubber grommets for the connecting bar and rubber pads where the brackets meet the fenders (parts 10 and 8 on the following page).

    @edsnova

    Dang! $1600+ for each front fender! All those prices are daunting.

    The brackets look like they would be hard to make though, and then you’d probably have to spank the hell out of your $1600 fenders to make them fit. Moss says as much:

    “Because these are produced in small quantities, they are quite expensive to make, and our prices reflect our costs.  They will require some hand fitting to be used, a requirement almost inherent due to the nature of the MG TD and the nature of the manufacturing methods used to produce these brackets.”

    With a TD, nothing’s cheap or easy…

    I’d love to go through Moss Motor’s site and see what it would cost to build a TD from all their reproduction parts.
