I just became a new member and I am glad that I found this site.
When I built my MGTD from FiberFab back in 1979 I never knew so many people would be interested in them now. I am going to be restoring it shortly and I will have a lot of questions from VW parts to renewing body parts.Thank You
Hi mgtdnut, Welcome to the forum!! It’s always good to get a new member ,especially one who admits to being a ”nut”.However you just hooked up with a whole bunch of us who are nuts, addicts, lovers and ,,,well you get the idea. We are glad to share what we know and are always learning more about these fun little cars.
Brilliant. If you built it already you should have a lot of fun with the resto. Some of us can blame the PO (previous owner) for all our troubles, which in my case is really funny, given the general quality of my own attempts at repair.
Dang, I may have had the oldest “built by me” car until you joined.
I built my Classic Roadsters Duchess TD in 1982. You trump me by three years! Awesome!
