Thanks for allowing me to join and be able to utilize this tremendous resource!

My late Father in Law bought a FiberFab MiGi ’52 MG TDr in 1980 to install on a VW Beetle chassis. He did this shortly after loosing his Father, to give him something to get his mind on and stay busy in the evenings and weekends. My late Brother in Law and I helped where needed and over a year or so, got it to about 98% complete; far enough along to run it around the block a few times. Life happened and the car never made it through the last 2% of the build. Here it is 42 years later and my Father in Law and Brother in Law have both passed and I am starting to work on the car again to clean up and fix 42 years of sitting and get through those last few details of the construction that remain undone. My wife and I are looking forward to some nice summertime short road trips to sort of close the circle. Here’s where I’m at –

    Welcome, John.

Very pretty car. Love the color scheme.

Don’t know where you’re from, but the big meet at Carlisle is coming up May 14-15. If you can make it we’d love to see it.

Thanks gentlemen! I am in Kennesaw, GA, just NW of Atlanta. I have doubts that the car will be ready to go anywhere by this May, but see it doable by the next. Is Carlisle in PA? Does the show have an on-line presence where I could find out more about it?

Unfortunately copy and paste have decided not to cooperate today.

The website is “www.carlisleevents.com”. Under event schedule you’ll find the “Import and Performance Nationals”.

We piggyback with another club, the “Speedster Owners Group”, and take over a local hotel for an extended weekend. Dedicated parking area with space for trailers and Hospitality room thrown in. A splendid time is guaranteed for all. (There’s a song in there somewhere)
