    @dave-b

    I just joined and made some introductory comments.  A few people kindly replied and gave me some good suggestions.  I tried to respond and thank them but after I responded and clicked “post new topic” I got the following message:

    Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error ‘80040e2f’

    Cannot insert the value NULL into column
    ‘Forum_ID’, table ‘devinew_forum.dbo.tblEmailNotify’; column does not
    allow nulls. INSERT fails.

    /forum2/new_post.asp, line 1404

    Apparently my replies have been going nowhere.  If there’s a solution to this, please advise.

    Thanks,

    Dave

    Dave, I’ve been on this forum for 5 years and I get that message every time I post. Doesn’t matter, the post goes up.

    Thanks.  I got it when I put up my initial post, and I realized that the post went up, but it appears that’s not the case with a reply.  But based on what you’ve told me, I guess it’s just something I’ll have to get used to.

    They should go up. If you just hit the “back” button on your browser it won’t be apparent. But if you refresh the browser your post should be there. If it isn’t then we have a problem above and beyond my technical expertise.

    Indeed, I see it’s actually working.  My apologies to those I unintentionally spammed.

    If you uncheck “email notify me of replies” just above the post reply button when replying it does not generate the error any longer. You can also change it in your member settings control panel.

    Just checked it and you’re correct. It works. AND……………..I found that if you check in the file manager in your member settings control panel, you’ll see all your posted photos.

    All the knowledge gained from going back in time and reading nearly every thread has paid off!

    Yes… nearly every thread….

    I was bored waiting for parts.
