    Hi Guys.

    There is a TDr hot rod (so it says) on Ebay. Stated to be MGB based with a FF body. Could this be a Victor ?  Paul any ideas? Priced at $1500……

    This is the link to the MGB based car on Ebay. Looks like its in Banning California. http://www.ebay.com/itm/MG-TD-Project-/171834189257?hash=item28021da5c9&vxp=mtr#shpCntId

    @edsnova

    Looks like a valiant attempt to mate a VW-based Fiberfab kit to an MGB chassis. Not for the faint of heart, I’d think.edsnova2015-06-23 13:49:36

    What Ed said!

    If that body is already mounted to the frame, it will NEVER look right.

    Based on the cuts made to the rear fenders, I suspect the body has been mounted to the frame too far forward.

    Either that, or the frame is too short.

    Hi Guys

    The concept of using MGB running gear is I think a decent one. The concept of using the MGB frame is flawed. The MGs rocker panels are structural in a big way. Get that wrong and you have a problem waiting to bite you  in the nether regions!  He should have used a custom or even a small truck frame and just used the B running gear, in my humble opinion anyway. $1500 to rich for my blood. It will be interesting to see where this thing ends up.

    Seems worth it for the body alone if you have a place to store it till needed.
    U-store rates might be low in Banning.

    Sorry to be the voice of temptation.Embarrassed
