WOW!, I’d like to take this for a ride, I bet it roars, my little 1600 VW based FF would sound like a kitten’s meow next to this.

August 8, 2014 at 10:26 pm #260867Many moons ago I owned a 911, and I have done quite a lot of work under the engine cover of a Fiberfab VW TDr.
There is no good shot of the engine, but I’d be willing to bet that this is not powered by a 911 engine (all 911’s were powered with 6 cylinder engines). Any takers?…maybe a 912 4 cylinder engine???August 8, 2014 at 10:29 pm #260868Yeah, I noticed that also, no engine shot, maybe I’ll e-mail them and see what they say.

August 9, 2014 at 1:50 pm #260871That area of the front end behind the bumper and badge bar is interesting too. Solution to steering gear access? Suspension mods?
I rechecked mine and the area where the front of the fender meets the side of the hood is molded into the front fender on both sides.
Part of the endless variety of the kitcar world.

August 9, 2014 at 1:56 pm #260872That area you are referring to varies from TDr to TDr. As you probably know, not all TDr’s are created equal.
August 9, 2014 at 9:20 pm #260873Never heard from the seller about the engine, maybe he is counting cylinders.

August 9, 2014 at 10:23 pm #260874Early Porsche 912’s used the 356C drivetrain.
Later models used the VW Type IV that was installed in the VW 411, Van and Porsche 914.Could the seller have a Type IV? -
