Im not sure what “diagonal arm” means. Can you be a little more specific? Front shock support? Rear?
There are lots of reputable VW parts suppliers. Knowing exactly what you are looking for will help!

January 26, 2012 at 12:51 pm #248863The Diagonal Arm is the arm which supports the shock absorber in the rear and is apart of the rear suspension on a driveaxle model.
January 26, 2012 at 1:11 pm #248864They also call it a trailing arm.

Possibly overbuilt for a street VW-based kit car, but here is one source:

Looks like Avery’s might sell used trailing arms (the product page says call for price and availability, often a hint for “we don’t know if we can find them”):

Funny, a ton of places sell replacement bushings. But unless you want lengthened/strengthened trailing arms for off road use, they appearto be difficult to find. You can also try the junk yard rouite. Excuse me, I mean “auto recycler” route. 🙂

January 26, 2012 at 3:35 pm #248867Hey guys thanks for the info. I talked to the guy at Chirco’s and also got a e-mail back from Airhead and they were both helpful and I think can get what I need.
This site is great for info. etc. and help form everyone for new auto owners like myself. Some day I might just up to speed.
Thanks Again, I’ll post pictures as I do the work, have a friend to help of course.
