Hello I recently purchased a 1929 Mercedes replica its on a pinto frame the body already mounted the seller got it and hasn’t worked on it in 10 yes the motor a 2.3 ford engine was rebuilt and still on an engine stand the tranny sitting on a shelf.the chrome spoke wheels are mounted on the car the tires were flat but aird up and holding pressure the aluminium fuel cell is mounted in car also it has been garage kept all this time. He only wanted $1000.00 for it I couldn’t turn it down seems like a steal at the price.it also comes with all the parts to finish.I’m an electrician by trade but do all my cars mechanical work with in reason.how difficult is the kit to finish and how many hours would anyone guess it will take to finish ? I would appreciate any input I can get.

I’m just south of you in Warner Robins and I have a 53 MGTD kit that I’ve been building. The assembly manual might give you times for assembly but take that with a grain of salt. Just fitting the hood on mine took several hours of adjusting the fit. But overall, my guess would be between 8 months to a year. Actual hours spent assembling would be more like 2800 hours.
