Hi all,

My name is Vicenç and I just got a 1983 Italian Red Fiberfab MiGi II built on a 1971 VW.  It has been sitting in a garage for the last four years and it hasn’t run in all that time.  Body wise it is in excellent shape, let’s just see what the mechanics look like once we get under the hood.

Here’s a photo of it being picked up by the tow truck.  I will post a better one once I get it running.

Welcome Vicenc. 

 It’s pretty.  If it has sat for a long time I would strongly advise draining all the gas from the tank and the lines before trying to start it.  

If you can get real gas (non ethanol), you’ll likely save yourself a lot of aggravation.

Welcome, Vicenç! Yes, as Roy says: wake her up gently and she should be just fine. Expect to change out rubber parts–hoses, tires. 

Then brake fluid, oil, gas. Good luck! Hope to see you cruisin’ soon.
