    I am a newbie and would let you all know of a fix that I had made to the park brake on my unit.I removed the brake and cut it off just above the pin that holds the tab for the cables,then removed the button and shaft.I then re welded it back in a upright position leaning a bit forward.I then welded a tab on the paw that locks the brake and added a release handle with a spring. It looks dated and works very well.Just thought I would pass this along.

    Bill,

    Exactly the procedure some of the original TD kit manufacturers recommended for dealing with the “out of reach” parking brake handle! Kudos for working it out on your own!!!!

    Hey Bill:

    Thanks for sharing your idea!

    I am a Newbie as well, and  knew I had to make some changes as I use my PB religiously in my TDI.

    I have looked at dash mount units and other mod styles but have not been impressed with any of them. Now I have to find a welder!

    If you come up with a kit let me know.

    Thanks,
    Bob

    @pink-mg

    It wasn’t out of reach for me on the first “Pink MG”!  Of course I sat on the floor to keep my head below the windscreen too!

    Seriously, great work and thanks for passing along the tip.

    Just a note on what I have planed for my MiGi kit. I just bought a complete 1952 MG windshield with all brackets less glass, I will have to have it chromed first before installation. I also will add a fuel cap on the engine cover left side as on a real 52 MG, and last I am working on a dash center and am cutting it out of a door kick plate from Lowes. Fiberfab just stopped short on a few things that we can do so when the motor is off it looks like the real thing. I really love my kit and it runs and drives very well. Thanks for the feed back. Good luck.
    Bill
