Happens to me all the time. Or, it did before I got the new shifter. Now, less often. 🙂

OK we made it to the Century Inn last night in Scenery Hill and met Vicence briefly before the tour and then just after, when he tapped me on the shoulder to say goodbye. Big props to him and his wife (?) doing the long drive to do a long drive. Very sorry I did not make more time to sit with you. The Countryside Tpur was a hoot. Lots of twisties on shaded roads and could not have had better weather. Getting back to the B&b afterword was an adventure. I forgot my phone charg cord and the navigational aid was dying when I lost 4th gear. No idea where it went. And I’d thought we had a good relationship. Anyway, an hour of fiddling with the shifter brought it back but have no idea why the shifter keeps moving out of adjustment. It was tight as I could get it. So three hours back to the b&b and a nice dinner later, feeling a little sunburned and very grateful to my wife, who showed patience and preservence even as I screamed invective at the laughing gods.

Charlene and I finally got back home last night at 7:30.  Literally 3 minutes ahead of our guest, for whom fortunately I had set up a car pick up at the airport or he would have been waiting for us for quite a bit.  We had a great time at the tour.  It is unfortunate that we didn’t get more of a chance to chat with Ed and his wife, but at least we got to meet briefly.  We did get to hang out with Bill Haas (Crash55) and his wife Audrey the night before.  We loved the tour, getting to meet Bill, Audrey, and Ed (sorry we didn’t get to meet your wife), and will definitely do it again next year.  However, next year, we are towing the TDr because, despite the fact that she behaved like a champ all the way throughout the whole thing, the drive there and back was quite a marathon.

Ed and Bill – It was great to meet both of you in person and hope we will see you all again soon.  It proves that you do meet the greatest people on this forum because you guys rock.

Sounds like Ed missed 4th, so no harm, no foul… 🙂
