About my ’71 air cooled VW.

I recently completed an entire tune up; coil, distributor cap and rotor, points and condenser, plugs, wires, fuel filter, oil change, gaps, timing, the works.

Everything is running like a German watch, except…COLD start is first time,idles at 900rpm when warm but restarting the warm engine  is VERY sluggish…seems like plenty of spark, just cranks several times before firing, but then is ok after starting.

FYI, I have a Weber 2barrel carb setup, not the original Solex. Maybe the auto choke is sticking(read that somewhere, but don’t know ANYTHING about it…)?

All ideas appreciated.
