Problems getting the top up

Hi all,

Recently purchased a ’52. Top never put up-it was garage kept. I can’t figure out how to get the top to fit on/over the windshield.  Please advise.

You have to undo the snaps at the rear first.Then insert the leading edge into the groove in the top of the W/S frame.I don”t know anybody strong enough to just stick the leading edge into the groove without undoing the snaps first.Don”t be surprised if you find that the top has just shrunk too much to be used anymore.I have one that the top was never used,and when I tried to use it it was 3 inches too small all over.That car had a brand new 27 year old top that was no good at all.
